Overview
Many customers can claim local utility rebates and may be eligible for a federal tax credit (often referenced as up to 30%, subject to IRS rules and limits) for home EV charging equipment. Requirements vary by program. Use this guide to get the itemized receipt your program needs.

- Honda Home Electrification lists incentives for convenience, but eligibility and approval are determined by the rebate/tax program, not by us.
- We don’t provide tax advice. For questions about eligibility or filing, consult a tax professional or the program administrator.
Step 1 — Locate your standard receipt
- Receipts are emailed automatically after installation once payment is captured.
- Check your inbox (and spam/junk) for a receipt from Honda Home Electrification.
- Receipts are not in the customer portal.
Step 2 — Check what your program requires
Common requirements include:
- Customer name and installation address
- Itemized costs (equipment vs installation)
- Installer business name and license number
- Permit number and AHJ (if applicable)
- Equipment make/model (and serial number, if requested)
- Paid in full notation or proof of payment

Installation date and service description (e.g., “Level 2 EV charger installation, hardwired”)
If your standard receipt doesn’t include everything your program asks for, move to Step 3.
Step 3 — Request a custom, itemized receipt
Use this form and tell us exactly what your program needs (no file uploads—paste details/links):
Request a receipt (duplicate or custom)
Include in the form’s text fields:
- Your name and the email address used for your project (we’ll look you up from that)
- The program name (utility/state/federal) and a link to its requirements
- The fields you need shown (e.g., installer license, itemized labor/equipment, permit #/AHJ, model/serial, “Paid in full”)
We’ll create a tailored receipt and email it to you.
