Overview
Your charger is not auto-shipped after you buy/lease a Honda EV. You’ll receive a coupon by email, then redeem it on Honda Home Electrification to choose one of two paths: installation through the Marketplace or Order Charger Only. This article explains the steps, shipping rules, credits, and when you’re committed.
For Model Year 2026 Prologues:
What you’ll receive with your vehicle (at a glance)
- Package 1: Home Charging Station (wall-mounted) + $1,250 installation credit on the Marketplace
- Package 2: $500 off your vehicle purchase
For Model Year 2025 Prologues:
What you’ll receive with your vehicle (at a glance)
- Package A: Home Charging Station (wall-mounted) + $500 installation credit on the Marketplace + public charging credits
- Package B: Portable Charging Kit (provided by the dealership) + $250 installation credit on the Marketplace + public charging credits
- Package C: Public charging credits (not redeemed on this platform)

How the coupon program works (step-by-step)

Watch for your coupon email.
Dealers submit purchase details to us; once we receive them, we email your code to the purchase email. - Go to https://homeelectric.honda.com and enter your address.
- Select EV charger (or your product) and answer the short questionnaire.
- Apply your coupon (auto-apply banner, “Add Coupon” prompts, or “Have a promo code or voucher” in the Cart).
- Choose your path (see below).
Path 1 — Installation through the Marketplace (recommended)
- Shipping: Honda supplies your installer with the EV Charger, and the installer brings it on installation day.
- Installation credit: Applied for Package A ($500 - eligible for model year 2025) or Package 1 ($1,250 - eligible for model year 2026) projects; only usable on Marketplace installations.

No commitment until you sign:
- After the Estimate page you can upload 4 photos to get a final, customized quote.
- You’re not committed until you accept the quote and sign the agreement.

Warranty advantage: Eligible Marketplace installations are backed by the Honda 3-year installation workmanship warranty (in addition to equipment warranty).
Path 2 — Order Charger Only
- Shipping: The charger ships to your address (not to the installer).
- No installer scheduled on the platform.
- Credit impact: The installation credit (Package A/Package 1) is not available if you choose Order Charger Only.
- You can opt for Order Charger Only right after your Estimate or after you see your final quote—until you’ve signed.
Changing your mind before you sign
- You can switch between installation and Order Charger Only anytime before signing the agreement.

Common questions
“Why haven’t I received my charger yet?”
- Chargers aren’t auto-shipped. You must redeem your coupon and choose Installation (ships to installer) or Order Charger Only (ships to you).
“Can I use the installation credit with Order Charger Only?”
- No. The installation credit is only for Marketplace installations.
“I didn’t get my coupon yet—what now?”
- Dealer submissions typically take 2–7 business days to reach our system.
